Première Urgence - Right to reply

Aid Watch would like to thank PU for their cooperation. The history part of this description was reviewed after a telephone interview with David Martinez, PU public relations officer, on the 19th of May 2003, and after a letter was sent on the 4th of June 2003 by Thierry Mauricet, the director general of the organization. Aid Watch had also noted that between the 6th of June 1999 and the 10th of January 2003, the board of directors of PU included Jean-Christophe Rufin, a former vice-president of MSF, an advisor to the secretary of state to human rights in Jacques Chirac’s government in 1986 before joining the cabinet of the minister in charge of humanitarian action and human rights in 1993. He then joined the cabinet of the minister of Defence François Léotard in 1994, and became ACF’s president in 2003.
