1) The mission
-EMDH specialised in a “humanitarian niche” where other important NGOs were already active, in particular SCF (Save the Children Fund). As a matter of fact, EMDH does not only work with children and has been running more general development programs in rural areas, as have SCF. Moved by a real will to help the underprivileged without trying to convert them, the association has been running programs both in France and in developing countries. However, in EMDH Bulletin, Father Yves Buannic has sometimes made political declarations in favour of Hun Sen’s government in Cambodia, or of the imprisoned Palestinian children in Israel.
