-1971, Bangladesh: FDH sends medical teams during the secession from Pakistan.
 
-From 1979, Nicaragua: FDH supports the Sandinistas and the trade unionists of UNAG (Union Nacional de Agricultures y Granaderos), financing a rural development programme in Northern Nicaragua, close to the border with Honduras where the armed opposition of the Contras is active.
