-1995, Rwanda: after the genocide, FDH restarts its programme of traditional carpentry, initiated in 1980 in order to reduce land pressure on agriculture by diversifying economic activities in the Butare region.
-1997, Indonesia: FDH starts supporting the land redistribution efforts with the KPA Consortium for Agrarian Reform (Konsorsium Pembaruan Agraria), created in 1994 to elude the grip of the official peasant union HKTI (Himpunan Kerukunan Tani Indonesia), which is controlled by the military.
